Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She co-founded The Huffington Post the founder and chief executive officer of Thrive Global and the author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington has been an actor, journalist writer, philanthropist, and philanthropist for more than 10 years. Her role also includes being the proprietor of The Huffington Post, an free-of-cost online news magazine. Originating from Greece she moved to England when she was 16 and completed her studies at Cambridge University with an MA in Economics. At 21 she became president of the renowned debate club The Cambridge Union' and was the first non-native student to do so. Following after her college graduation, she became an influential Conservative syndicated journalist. In the years later, she founded The Huffington Post which featured criticism of the present political scene. Her fame and popularity helped to get a number of prominent contributors to post their views about news from the world of politics and culture. Arianna was famous when she made the decision in 2003 to run as an Independent candidate in the California Recall election to succeed former Governor Davis. Alongside this she also led the Detroit Project for efficient vehicles that use less fuel. Forbes listed her as one of one of the "most important female" within the field of media, placing her at 12th. Guardian placed her on their list of 100 most important media figures in 2009. AOL Inc. named her president of their media division in 2011 after they purchased The Huffington Post. The Huffington Post also included additional AOL brands such as Engadget AOLmusic Style list or Patch Media. She was the daughter of journalist and manager Konstantinos as well as his spouse Elli Stasinopoulos. Even though she was close with her father, the relationship she had with her mother shaped the remainder of her life. Through her early times, she demonstrated the qualities of a leader for which are still prominently known. She moved to England at sixteen to further her studies and then enrolled in Girton College Cambridge. In the years of her university she was a member of the Cambridge Union debating group where she was elected the first woman president, and also the only foreign president. She graduated in 1972 with the degree of master's in Economics. Following the graduation ceremony, she became an editor of the critic's column and a television host. Alongside Bernard Levin she appeared on an edition of Face the music.
