Selena Marie Gomez, /s@'li?n@ /goUmez/s@LEEn@ GOHmez was born on the 22nd of July 1992. She is an American singer, actress and producer. Gomez's acting career began in the television show for children called Barney & Friends (1902-2004). When she was a teenager, Gomez became famous for her character Alex Russo in the Disney Channel television series Wizards of Waverly Place (1907-2012). Gomez has also been a part of the television series Another Cinderella Story (2008) and Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie 2009, Ramona and Beezus (2010) and Spring Breakers 2012, Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising (2016). In 2019, she will appear in The Dead Don't Die (2018). Gomez was also the voice of Mavis in Hotel Transylvania's movie franchise between 2012 and 2022. Gomez is the executive producer for the Netflix television series 13 Reasons Why (2017-2020) and Living Undocumented (2019) through her production company, July Moon Productions. She also stars in the Hulu mystery-comedy series Only Murders in the Building (21-21-222). The latter earned Gomez critical praise, and nominations for an Golden Globe Award, and as producer in the series, an Primetime Emmy Award .

Rare (2020) is Gomez's third studio album became her third consecutive top 10 album in the US. The lead single, "Lose You, to Love Me", was also her first number one hit in the US. In 2021, she debuted the EP in Spanish Revelacion in which she received a nomination for the Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Album. She has been honored with many accolades, including being named the Woman of the Year by Billboard in 2017. In 2017, she also broke 15 Guinness World Records. Time magazine named her one the 100 most influential individuals globally in 2020. Her social media following is massive and she's also the most talked about actress and performer on Instagram. Gomez also ventures into cosmetics, handbags, and perfume. She has worked with many charitable organizations and served as an UNICEF ambassador since the age of 17.
