Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. Her parents are Dennis Alan Taylor, a ex-bank executive, and Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist who is a half-Spanish an English-speaking woman. His father is an Argentine with Scottish and English ancestral roots. Her mother has Spanish and English roots. Taylor-Joy has five siblings four from her father's prior marriage. The family she grew up with was at home in Buenos Aires from the time she was just six up until the day they left for Victoria, London. Taylor-Joy believes that moving to London was traumatizing and that she was unable to learn English in order to prevent returning to Argentina. Hill House was the new school she was required to attend following her departure from Northlands. In the following year, she joined Queen's Gate School to study ballet and to perform in school's shows. After she turned 16, she decided to leave school to take on a full-time job in acting. Taylor-Joy was an actress as a kid that knew she was going to become one. The realization of her dreams came after Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm Management offered her a modelling job.
