Taylor Swift has become a rare pop phenomenon: A celebrity who has strayed from country music to pop culture, becoming an iconic pop star that is set to last forever and conquering everywhere. Swift is shedding her country roots like she was shedding skins for second purposes and has proven herself to be one of one of the best pop singers and songwriters in her generation. The second album Fearless from 2008 showed a songwriter finding her voice, and also a larger public. Fearless had a great success not only in the United States, having six platinum-certified singles. In fact, the Top Ten songs Love Story & You Belong with Me were the main reasons for this. But, it also did very well across the globe. Speak Now delivered almost two years later, which consolidated the success and moved Swift to the heights of fame. The popularity of Swift only grew over her next three albums - Red (2012) 1989 (2014) and Reputation (2017) Reputation (2017) and saw her move confidently into the realm of pop in which she was already a part. Although she slowed down her work with folklore and Evermore releases in 2020 she was at the forefront of pop music.
