AOL Inc. purchased The Huffington Post in 2011 and appointed her as head of its media division, which also included other AOL properties such as Engadget AOL Music Style list and Patch Media. Elli Stasinopoulos is the daughter born to Konstantinos a management advisor and journalist. Her character was formed by her closeness to her mother, and the bond she shared with her father, even though she was very close to the latter. At an early age, she showed leadership abilities which are still widely admired. At 16 years of age she emigrated back to United Kingdom to pursue her education and was enrolled at Girton College Cambridge. As a student, she joined the Cambridge Union, a college debate club. The third female president, and also the first foreigner she was the president of Cambridge Union. She graduated in 1972 with a Master's Degree in Economics. The career of an anchor and reporter started after her graduation. In addition, along with Bernard Levin she appeared on an episode of Face the music.
